Over the many years that I have traded the markets I've studied all most every theory that exists and come to the conclusion that none in its exclusivity gives you sufficient edge over the market. Fundamental Vs Technical Analysis, fundamental analysts try to determine a company’s value by looking at its income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statements. The problem with this approach is you're relying on data supplied to you that you have no way of knowing if it's accurate or in many cases completely bogus. A case in mind is the Enron accounting scandal of the early 2000s, or Goldman Sachs numerous accounting scandals over the years are all linked by their use of esoteric accounting.
