Stock market crash 2018 with economic collapse

Hi Sven, one of the alarming risks that you seldom hear being discussed is the lack of liquidity. As a trader this is one of the things that troubles me the most. We are seeing a progressive decline in the S&P 500 futures volume since end 2011. This situation is going to cause huge problems for investors. I have traded through both the 2000 & 2008 market meltdowns and in both instances I couldn't even trade online as the avalanche of order flow blocked the market makers pipes even my brokers telephones were backed up all day. When this house of cards collapsed most investors don't realize that should they be lucky enough that there trading platform works the spreads could be colossal (especially on lesser traded stocks) and in some situations they won't even be able to get out as nobody will take the other end of the trade.
